Hello and welcome to my site! I am Mrs. DeVore and very honored to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my 5th year teaching at Mitchell Road Elementary and my 29th year teaching school altogether. I have previously taught 1st grade for 13 years and kindergarten for 15 years and I am excited be sharing this journey with your child!
I attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education, and Furman University here in Greenville and received my Masters of Arts Degree in Language Arts Education. My husband and I are the proud parents of a 15 year old daughter.
My mission is to provide a safe, positive environment that will produce eager, independent learners with a strong academic foundation. Children will be taught to "Live, Learn and Love One Another" as they become productive in our community and in the world.
